How it works

1Select training – Select the course you wish to take and enter your personal details. If you haven’t yet made a final decision between the standard Class B, B197 and B78, you can also choose the exact option at the branch.
2Pay online – pay the displayed registration fee securely using one of the payment methods provided.
3Book a seat – As soon as your payment has been successfully confirmed, your place at FAHRPLAN will be reserved. You will receive an email confirmation straight away.
4Complete registration in-branch – then come to one of our four branches during opening hours without an appointment. There we will check your details and you will sign the training contract.
5Driving licence application received – after signing, you will receive your driving licence application or the application documents required for your case, as well as all information on the further procedure.

Important: Once your online payment has been successfully processed, you will have paid your registration fee and reserved your place at FAHRPLAN. To complete your registration, simply visit one of our four branches at your convenience, sign the training contract and collect your driving licence application form. There is no additional fee payable in person for registration.

To the starting location of your driving lessons: Your selection on the form is a non-binding preference and can be changed at a later date. Regardless of this, you can attend the theory lessons at any of the four FAHRPLAN sites. You can complete your registration at any of our four branches without needing to book an appointment.

Further costs will arise during the course of your training in accordance with the agreed Price list, for example for driving lessons, special trips and test appointments. In addition, there are external TÜV charges and administrative fees.

Frequently asked questions about online booking

What exactly does online payment do?

Once the payment has been successfully processed, your registration fee will be paid in full and your place at FAHRPLAN will be reserved. Your registration is now on hold, but not yet fully complete: to finalise it, simply visit one of our four branches at your convenience, sign the training contract there and collect your driving licence application form. There is no additional fee payable on site for registration.

Do I need to come to a specific branch?

No. You’re not tied to any particular branch – just pop into one of our four branches during opening hours without an appointment: Bockenheim, Dornbusch, Heddernheim or Sachsenhausen. You can also attend the theory lessons at any of the four locations at a later date.

Is online payment secure?

Yes. Payment is processed via Mollie, a European, licensed payment service provider. You enter your payment details directly into Mollie – they are not stored with us.

I'm not 18 yet – can I book online?

For the BF17 course (accompanied driving), you can reserve your place well in advance of your 18th birthday – it’s best for a parent or legal guardian to make the payment (there’s a selection option on the form for this: „Who is completing the application?“). Important: Your legal representative must be present when you sign the training contract at the branch – it’s best if you come along together.

What happens after payment?

You will receive a confirmation by email immediately. After that, you can come to one of our four branches during opening hours without an appointment. There, you will sign the training contract and receive your driving licence application.

Why does the transfer have its own price?

Anyone exchanging a foreign driving licence already has driving experience – which is why the registration fee of €250 is lower than for a full training course. Which tests and how many driving lessons are necessary in your case depends on the issuing country – we will discuss this when finalising your registration at the branch.

Can I also register in person on-site?

Yes, at any time. Just drop into one of our four branches – we'll give you a personal consultation and you can complete the registration right there on the spot. The online reservation is a shortcut for anyone who has already made up their mind.
