A common reason people come to us: the driving licence has been sitting in a drawer for years, and suddenly the car is needed again – a new job, a house move, a changed family situation.
Here is how it works with us: you sign up for free and then you can book individual refresher driving lessons. How many you have is up to you – there is no minimum number, nor do you have to buy a package. There is no official new test involved.

What you drive is agreed upon in advance – you say what worries you, and the driving instructor plans the lesson around that. After the first drive, he can tell you what else would make sense from his perspective. You decide whether to take further lessons.

Register for free
You sign up for refresher driving lessons for free. In doing so, you state which situations you want to practice and whether you drive manual or automatic.
Book driving lesson
After registration, you book a single refresher driving lesson. Appointments are subject to available scheduling.
Practise purposefully
During your driving lesson you practise precisely the situations where you lack routine – a normal practice drive with a driving instructor, without an official test or assessment.
Decide for yourself how often
There is no mandatory minimum number and no obligation to buy a package.
Important: Refresher driving lessons are voluntary practice drives. No one is reassessing your driving licence in the process, and no official report is produced. However, your driving instructor can give you expert advice on which exercises would still be useful.

Prerequisites
For a regular refresher drive you need a valid and currently usable driving licence Please bring your driving licence with you to the lesson.
Does your driving licence state any restrictions? With code 78 you are only allowed to drive an automatic – then we will also practice on an automatic. If you want to get your manual entitlement afterwards, that is a separate path: it is on the page B197.
Foreign driving licence? That is explained on the page Exchange driving licence.
Driving ban or revoked licence? Our refresher driving lessons require a valid and currently usable driving licence. In the event of a driving ban, revocation or a pending re-issuance, it must first be clarified which official or driving school procedure is intended in your case. Please contact us in advance to discuss this. If the licence has been revoked, it is a matter of re-issuance and therefore follows a different procedure.
After a long break, it is normal for the first few miles to feel unfamiliar. That is precisely what these lessons are for – we start where you feel safe, and build from there. If there is more behind the uncertainty than a lack of routine, just say so: then we will take it extra slowly. However, we cannot provide any treatment.
By the way: A advanced driving course That's something different. That takes place on a closed-off site and practises braking and swerving in limit situations. With us, you drive in normal traffic, right where you'll be travelling later on.
Costs and scope
How much refresher driving lessons cost
Registration for refresher drives is free of charge. You only pay for the driving lessons you actually book – billed according to the current rates on our Pricing page. You do not need to buy a package: you can start with a single hour and then decide for yourself if and how often you want to continue. Specific scheduling is based on current availability.
It is not possible to reliably state in advance how many hours you will need – that depends on how long the break was and what you want to practise. After the first drive, your driving instructor will be able to give you an honest assessment.
