Theory immediately
You join from Monday to Friday at our intensive-course branch in Bockenheim: air-conditioned, with plenty of space and close to the Kirchplatz stop (U6, U7), seven minutes’ walk from Westbahnhof S-Bahn station. With two topics per evening, you cover the 14 theory topics over seven evenings. At no extra charge and without having to wait for a holiday course.
Theory and practice in blocks
Tell us your preferred timeframe, and we'll plan your driving lessons in advance – several a day if you wish. It's best to submit the application about six to eight weeks beforehand.
You don't pay an extra charge for the intensive course. The intensive theory lessons are already included in our basic fee. We don't charge a special intensive surcharge for closely scheduling your driving lessons either.

From registration to the practical test
Register
No appointment needed, just your ID. We will fill out the application together with you – so that it gets on its way early.
Gather theory
Two topics per evening, Mon–Fri 6 pm – 9 pm. In seven evenings you have all 14 mandatory topics covered. There is an iPad at our branches that offer theory lessons, where you can study before or after class.
Drive alongside
You'll be driving even while doing your theory lessons. To keep things moving quickly, we will coordinate your appointments with you in advance.
Pre-test and theory test
Before the test, you take a practice test on an iPad at one of our branches. Once you pass it, you choose one of our TÜV test dates – we book it for you and send you all the details by WhatsApp, including the link for buying your test voucher online in advance.
Special training drives
The 12 mandatory special training drives: five cross-country drives, four motorway drives and three drives in the dark – mostly at the end.
Practical test
When you and your driving instructor are ready. Over 90 per cent of our learner drivers pass the practical test on the first attempt.
How many practice lessons you need, we will discuss openly at the consultation – and plan the quickest possible sensible schedule for you.
Before the first evening
This is what you should sort out beforehand
You can dive straight into the theory. However, to make sure everything goes smoothly in the end, your driving licence application should be submitted early:
- You can get the application form from us – right at registration. We will fill it out together with you, so nothing is missing.
- Eye test and first-aid course you need for the application.
- Biometric passport photo, like for the identity card.
- You can submit it online. Otherwise you hand in the documents at the citizens' registration office – you only have to go to the driving licence authority for the conversion of a foreign driving licence.
- Processing time: usually six to eight weeks. For urgent cases, we offer the fast-track application – your paperwork is then often ready after around three weeks. We’ll tell you whether it’s an option for you.

Theory starts immediately. Because the licensing authority takes about six to eight weeks for the driving licence application, it's best to submit it right after you register – then it will be ready when you want to crack on with the practical lessons.
In a hurry? For urgent cases, we offer the fast-track application as a service – your paperwork is then often ready after around three weeks, with no extra fees from the authority. The only difference: you won't be handed your driving licence straight after passing your test; instead, you collect it from the driving licence office.
And the question we are asked most frequently: Can you get a driving licence in two weeks? A process of around two weeks is possible – with the necessary planning. Two things must be in place beforehand for this. Firstly your driving licence application must already have been submitted and processed by the authorities – that alone takes the authorities around six to eight weeks, or often only about three weeks with our fast-track application. Secondly Your exam dates must be arranged in advance: we plan the theory and practical exams with you beforehand so that the dates are fixed in good time. Once both of these have been sorted, you’ll cover the 14 theory topics over seven evenings whilst driving at the same time. How long it ultimately takes for you depends on your progress and the availability of TÜV slots – so we can’t give you a fixed timeframe. How long does it really take to get a driving licence?

A 45-minute driving lesson costs €74 with manual transmission (€76 automatic), plus the statutory special journeys (€82 manual, €85 automatic, per 45 minutes) and the TÜV test fees, which you pay with a TÜV voucher – you buy it online beforehand. There is no separate registration for the intensive course – the intensive format is our standard and is included in the basic fee. You simply register as normal (online or at one of our branches) and attend the theory evenings as closely together as you like. You sign up for each evening on the day of the lesson from 8 a.m. via our Theory timetable – directly at the relevant session.
If you have a window of time and want to stick with it: yes. And if things turn out differently, you stay free – you simply collect the topics at your own pace, at any of our branches that offer theory lessons.
How quickly you complete the course also depends on your progress and the available exam dates for the TÜV. We’ll register you as soon as you’re ready – and plan your path to the exam as quickly as is sensible.
