After that, you must have it exchanged and can then continue driving with your newly issued licence.<\/p>\n<p>For drivers with an EU\/EEA driving licence, it is somewhat simpler: the European driving licence remains valid and moving to Germany does not require a conversion. After that, you must have your driving licence converted, otherwise you risk driving without a licence.
